Queso Azul De Valdeon – Creamy Blue Cheese

Our creamy blue cheese is a Spanish blue cheese from Leon.

It is made mainly from com’s milk with a hint of goat’s milk creating a very original profile of flavour. Hints of chocolate, roasted meats and crusty baked bread roll over the palate in every creamy mouthful.

This beuatiful cheese is carefully wrapped in leaves and cured for a minimum of 2 months in caves nestled throughout the mountainous landscape of the region.

It is the Spanish version of Roquetfort.

It is perfect for melting, great to do a blue cheese sauce, perfect for salads with walnuts and pears and outstanding on a cheese plate.
